Ambrosia’s Delights, opened on January 1st of 2006, was created to express owner Ambra Lowenstein’s passion for fusing culinary creativity and nourishment. Ambra maintains the belief that food, when prepared with quality ingredients and good intent, can provide nourishment for the soul as well as the body.

Ambra’s love of cooking began in early childhood where she passed her time in the kitchen with her family. First, she studied her grandmother’s recipes. Then, as she grew older, she studied recipes from other lands, adding ethnic spices to her repertoire. As Ambra’s own eating habits became natural, organic and primarily vegetarian, she refined her cooking techniques to incorporate her commitment to nutrition and natural living.

Currently Ambra is expanding her knowledge in the culinary arts field through the nationally accredited culinary arts program at AB Technical Community College.


When Ambra is not catering, she designs clothing and performs aerial dancing and circus arts throughout the Southeast and worldwide.

Ambrosia’s Delights Natural Catering is licensed with the City of Asheville and is fully insured. We cook out of the communal kitchen facilities at Blue Ridge Food Ventures.
Owner has completed her Nationally Accredited ServeSafe Certification and received a 100% sanitation score.
Ambrosia’s Delights is committed to utilizing the local resources of Western North Carolina. We strive to use local produce and other ingredients that are produced in these mountains. Ambrosia’s Delights is in partnership with ASAP (Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project), Short Street Cakes, City Bakery, Carolina Culinary and BRFV.
